should i change the gears in my 89 bronco ii

Everyone here that said 4.10's are talking about 4.0 motors. Even then i think more gear is needed.

You don't want to sink a dime into a D28 (the D28 is known to fail even with little stock tires).

Swap to the D35, then you can get basically any gear ratio and locking differential under the sun for it. The D35 should be a 100% bolt-in swap on a lifted vehicle like what I see in your avatar pic (no need to shorten the driveshaft).

if i go with the d35 i was reading to also go with the ford 8.5 in the rear, or will my 7.5 be ok?

do the 8.8 swap if you wanna spend money on a strong axle.
jeep guys use our 8.8 in their xj's, tj's, and yj's... its a great axle.

get one from an explorer tho.

The simple act of putting the D-35 in won't break your rear axle.

4.0B2 is right with everything he said though.

I still would like to find a set of 3.08s for the front of my '84. Thought I had found a set, but the lead dried up. Tough to find. . . anyone??
