I'm installing 4 shocks today on my ranger. I'ts a 94 4x4 with 5" suspension lift. Shocks are very loose top and bottom with zero bushings left anywhere. Do I have to jack it up, remove tires and wheels? They aren't supporting anything....

Fronts are easier to do with the tires removed so lift the front, the rears can be done without lifting.

It is easier to install the rear shocks if you lift the truck and allow the axle to fully drop. Less distance to compress the shock so you can bolt it in but it isn’t a must do.
