Sgt Ex

Didn't go wheeling this weekend, decided to let the season o out with no breakage. An awesome year for sure. Next year I think it will be just as kick ass.

I have also been working on notching the frame in my buddy's MK3 Jetta. Took a couple pics

My little Hobart 135 finally threw in the towel. The gas regulator solenoid is stuck wide open and the gun finally gave up. It had been bandaided 3-4 times already, and yesterday it finally threw in the towel.

Thank you.

I have found the parts to fix it and will have the little guy back up and running in a week or so

Change of heart. Ex isn't going to tons. Keeping the halfsies. Am moving the rear suspension forward, and changing the rear traction bar setup. Also changing bumpers and adding a little passenger protection.

Your doing all of this work just to do what I plan on doing with the two projects I'm starting?? What gives :icon_confused:

huh? lol

The explorer works great as is. Only replacing the rear springs because one is bent all to hell. When i do this, it will move the axle forward an inch. This will require me to change the length of the 4 links. Instead of adding 4 more links, I am only going to build 1, just like the one of Bray's truck.

They don't look all that bad, or maybe I'm just jealous of the fact that you have someplace to work in at all.

After the debacle with D, I said eff it and stayed home. I decided to break the front axle down on Ex because the upper ball joint on the driver side was sketchy. After further breakdown, I noticed the spindle bearing was missing pieces (needle bearings)

So I broke everything down to freshen up the whole mess. Anyone know where I can find some D44 cover bolts?

How many do you need? ( I assume you're looking for the OE flanged head bolt )

If i remember right lowes or menards here had the flange head bolts.

The OE have locking splines on the back of them as well.
