need a service manual covering the 1354 manual transfer case.
anybody know what years cover these?
I'm assuming 2002 for sure, any others?

I'll be shopping for one soon, want to be sure it's in the book. my 2005 service manual has only the electronic model.

My 94 FORD Technical Service Information on CD covers it
Hek I think that CD covers ever vehicle Ford made in 93-94
I got it in late 2006 or early 2007 on Ebay for about 6 bucks I think

I'm going to try mix 'n match a few parts after some experimental machining.
the goal is to convert an E to an M
already have a 99 1354e, older 1350m, with the slip front output, and the shifting plate/cam thingie.
just ordered a manual shift shaft and a front case half that has the raw boss for the shift shaft.

if I'm lucky I may be able to add a detent for neutral in the plate/cam.

call me crazy if you want, I won't care 'kus this 'ol guy is hard of hearing :icon_thumby:

I know there are some earlier year but the only ones I know for sure are 02 and 03. I know 04 and later did not have the manual transfer case. I know a manual transfer case was available in 89 (I don't know if it was a 1354) but I don't know the year after that when Ford dropped it for a while.

I built a 13-54m out of a 13-50m and a 13-54e close to 20 years ago. The 54 case is thicker where the shaft goes through the body, so a 50 shaft doesn’t really work. (You can make it work by positioning the arm right and welding it to the shaft.)

For the detent… drill the case to the right size, drill it part way and tap for a pipe plug, and install the detent from the outside.

Original run for the manual case is '97-down, no? I have '91 and '95 cases and they're covered in the '94 service manual, drivetrain book.
