If the US starts allowing enforcement of and following UN laws like those on domestic soil, we've got even bigger problems than 2A rights. I'm not downplaying our 2A rights by any means, just emphisizing how bad it would be. If that starts you can throw our entire constitution and governing body in the trash. Some would say that the latter needs to happen anyway, while I'd tend to agree, it is still better than what we'd have then.

Within my lifetime I expect all "legal" gun ownership to be by registration only. Probably single shot something or other only.
They have been chipping at it one small bit at a time. The biggest infringement was in the 30's with the national firearms act, followed by Regan's ban on new automatic weapons in 86', Clinton's assault weapon ban in 94', followed by Trump's bump stock ban, and now the puppet master's pistol brace ban. Now the Great Reset is coming for the whole thing.
There are more guns and ammo than people in most states. Anyone with some skills and a CNC can make literally anything legal or not. It's never going away. There are more non serial number automatics around this state than most would want to believe. I wouldn't want to touch one with a 40' pole because I obey "the law."
The "2nd amendment not being infringed" means you are allowed to own a nuclear submarine if you can afford it.... But who pays attention to the bill of rights anyway.

A nuclear submarine isn't an arm. It's a transportation and delivery system. As such it would not be covered under the 2A.

Spells it out clearly: "So, at least for now, the framework only applies to governments, not individual ammunition owners. "

You're not wrong.

My whole problem with hearing/reading stories like this coming from places like fox is that they're 100% of the time going to be sensationalized all to hell.. just to drum up anger with its viewers that they want to be aimed at the folks on the other side of the aisle.

Not saying there isn't truth or reality In said stories.. but EVERY story written has its media outlets personal spin on it, and as much sensationalism as they can manage to inject.

The main stream media's purpose is to divide people.. the purpose of the two party system is to divide people.. and once there's enough division we're a lot easier to control.



It's a shame that NOBODY truly appreciates freedom as much as they claim to... the country would be a MUCH happier place.

I'm afraid the people don't truly understand or appreciate what they have. What it can be like if they were subject to a different kind of life. Books, stories and pictures can only tell so much. You can learn from that but you don't fully appreciate the effect of other the other government structures until you start to having to live in them, without a choice. The problem is, once it starts, there's no turning back.

Nothing short of a revolution would get it back and I'm honestly and sincerely sorry to say I don't think there's enough men and woman with the courage to do what our founders did to take on an 'empire'. They're out there - just not in the required numbers. I think you may have made that point, just in a different way. Not sure.

Part of the problem, beyond lack of appreciation, is the lack of understanding the door swings both ways. The Bill of Rights and the limitations on the federal government applies to everyone, not just the particular ones you, I, or they might like and prefer. Just because you or I might not like what someone is doing doesn't mean they aren't free to do it. Conversely, the exercising of those freedoms also comes with responsibility and accountability. As well as any potential repercussions or consequences that come with it. My rights end where another's begin and vice versa. The population of this country has forgotten that or, thanks to our "education" system, are ignorant of it.
