?s about wiring my system

Run it to a relay...
SVT

ok, thats what i was thinking since i cant find any ratings for the amps remote wire amp draw or the HUs remote wire power supply. thanks again rangersvt!

2 Amps would be ok, but any more than that including electronic X-overs (which I know you don't have any, but for reference for you), and you should have a relay so you don't damage the HU

i went home for lunch and found a package with my name on it, all my parts from TTI-Plus came in! ive got pictures of the components for you guys, since i havent completed any work yet (im brain storming and planning still).

i think i found a solution for my fuse mounting problem, i went out to my parts truck and pulled the cruise control bracket off, which i think ill end up mounting my fuse block to once i find some grommets to seal it up with, or ill use the 100A circuit breaker i ordered a while back?

heres some progress from last night, i ended up staying in the garage until 4am and i still didnt have enough time to finish it! i got my rca cables ran, got my relay for the remote power wired up, and i did some pruning to the HU harness.

heres a pic of the amps turned on (really blurry, sorry) but they stay on when the ignition is off, so im thinking i wired my relay wrong.

why do you have a relay in there

what rangersvt said, its to control the remote wires going to the amps. i wasnt sure how much power the HU was putting out on that little wire and i didnt want to wire all 3 amps to it and have it burn up, so i went the relay route since it can supply 30A which i know is more than enough for what those amps need to turn on.

the amp remote turn on circuit uses .5 amps at 12v even 18g wire has a rating of 2.32 amps.... .

you have it in there might as well leave it.

are you using your HU's remote wire to "turn on" the relay cause i dont think it has that much balls. running the relay prolly take more then then amps do combined.

if you get to tired of messing with it. rip it out and run your remote to your amps.

i was thinking about that (not having enough power to trip the relay) after i did it, but we'll see what happens tonight after i set up my wires correctly (i figured out why the amps were coming on all the time, ive got my relay wired wrong...DOH!)

you were right 4x4fun, the relay really complicated things even after i got it hooked up right, so im going to remove it tonight and see if that fixes my problems. as it sits ive got my speaker wires ran for both subs and rear speakers, i just need to run the wires for the door speakers and then get the terminals to connect them to the speakers. im having a problem with my amps though, as 2 of them are staying lit up when the key is off, and the first one in the series is off? if i unplug the rca input cables to the one on the passenger side and the middle then the lights go out on them, even though the remote wire is still hooked up and the radio is still on? im going to remove the relay first before i try to understand why theyre doing this because the issues may be related to the relay? it seems that once again ive tried to over engineer the situation and now ive got a mess! hers a pic of where im at right now

Remove the relay, as it is cross feeding itself, a diode is needed to solve that, but as you said, its a problem in your setup. Sorry to have you do extra work, what one person does may not always work for another...

So i took the relay out on my lunch break hoping to have good results, reconnected the ground cable to the battery and the two amps turned on by themselves again. i tired to turn on the radio but it wasnt responding! im going to get this figured out, its just starting to frustrate me and i miss driving my truck. driving the rescue ranger is like wearing a worn out pair of shoes, sure they still fit but theyre not as comfortable as the new ones.

Double check your HU's harness, they might have a wire crossed or something
