well many of you that frequent other sits probably have seen my rig here and their, but for those who have not, and since i was nominated for TOTM, i thought id take the time to post up a real build thread...

well, first off, this has been a project of mine staring when i originally got the bronco at the age of 16...

quicky...

bought the bronco stock...
lifted it with custom made blocks front and rear
got 50% 36" tsl's and man they were the shiz...lol
gutted the interior
built a rollbar
bought some 2x2 tubing and all thread and made my body lift.. that i took off later
and eventually put a 4" susp. lift under it
blah..blah..blah..
I drove it, broke it, and ocasionaly fixed it..

BUILD UP

hp 44 front 538's- cause a 60 is to much
early bronco lift coils, progressive rate
move axle about 11 inches forward
build custom crossmember/skid plate
dana 60 rear, welded up also 538's
ran the stock 2.9 till i blew it up...did the 4.0 swap :headbang:

THIS WAS LIKE THREE OR FOUR YEARS AGO..

a while after i ended up blowin a head gasket in the 2.9 so i did the 4.0 swap... no pictures but was really easy, i thought, also mounted an aluminium readiator in it rather than the stock one... also moved from washiongton to nevada, and havnt done much wheelin but had a chance to take it out today for a few hrs, kept over heating though and i think it is due to my last wheeling trip in washington

sorry for actging like a newman :icon_rofl: and posting this in the wrong area:sad:

Too bad you don't live around here no more! I would have liked to check that thing out! Dig the hatch cut for the spare!

yeah i miss it up their alot... ill move back someday.. but for my spare, i wanted to keep it low and not above the fuel cell, so it was sorta my only option, i tried to keep the cut out as close as possible to minimize the gap for winter time, GF has to be warm :bawling:

You want it in Show Off or RBVs Under Construction? :)

Nice purpose-built rig too BTW :icon_thumby:

Ok, well... I'll move it to Under Construction, as I know most builds are never really actually finished lol.
