Rustys shop thread....

Spread cat litter on the spots. Crush it in with your boots. Swivel and dance on the cat litter! Really work it in. Sweep it up and be amazed!
Seriously?

Or do you just want me to film the process?

Seriously.
It absorbs the oil, and the residue is the same color as concrete.

Clay cat litter works pretty good.

I know that kerosene is used by some shops to clean a floor. The idea of using a clay cat litter after isn’t a bad idea.

Don't use the CARQUEST brand oil dry. I've had that stuff sitting on a spill in my garage for over a month and it still hasn't soaked it all up yet.

Used most of a 20 lb bag too. Napa's stuff is much better.

Cheap, non scented cat litter does the same job. Buy whichever is cheaper.

Peat moss > oil dry, cat litter, etc.

No need to stomp it in, picks up grease if it sits on it a while, and doesn't harden to the floor. If you shuffle it around with a broom after an hour or so it'll draw more up than oil dry ever would. Plus, you can burn it after using as long as it's not wet.

Only thing that we've found that will pick up honey oil (injectable colloidal grease we use to hold seal while our winch line is in an oil/gas well - will hold back 15,000 psi of pressure with ease). Soaks up literally anything you throw at it.

Good to know. Thanks
