hi guys i didnt run over a dog okay.

i was wondering what peoples opinions are on this subject.

if you or someone runs over a dog and you witness it what should you do ?
help the dog? .. how?
kill the dog soo it doesnt suffer?
walk away.. or drive away
etc.

If you think you can help the dog, then hell yes. Most cars if they run over the dog, its already dead. But you should do your best to contact the owner, if anything cantact the police so they can have it removed from the roadway and they can contact the owner.

Yeah. I would deff. stop. Imagine seeing your dog being hit, and the people just speeding way.

I'd kill it if its in critical condition so it doesnt suffer. If it could be Ok call the cops and have them find the owner so they can go to the vet. DO NOT TAKE IT TO THE VET YOURSELF AS THEY WILL EITHER SAVE OR PUT DOWN THE DOG, THEN CHARGE YOU THE COST OF THEIR SERVICE.

out in the sticks/farm land where i am hitting something breathing is a normal occurance. i've hit dogs/cats/chip munks/possums/ground hogs/ a pony ( just bumped it) and deer. if its down on the road its not gona make it, so i rip out the trusty SOG and slit its throught and call the road crew to get it. if its a deer i take it with and butcher it. depends on the areya. i can see a NYC driver just running it over and keep going......... if its up and moving i would take it to the vet or call the owners. nothing i've hit so far hasnt had a tongue hanging out by the time i stop

I hit 2 possums. Once in my Mom's 05 Scion tC.

And another in my freinds 1995 Windstar.

hell yeah i would help a dog or a cat or someones pet deer and other stuff its like w.e

I caught a bird in the grille once!!

At work in august I had to clean a Mazda6 that had not 1 but 2(TWO) dead Bluejays in the grille. They must have hit a flock or something. One of the wierdest things Ive seen happen to the outside of one of our cars at work.

I found a dead bird in the grill of my B2 once. It was like mummyfied. We have ducks and geese here and I see a lot of times people just gun it and run em down when they go out in the road. Makes me want to go run em off the road and kick their ass. I have hit animals before but never did I do it on purpose.

.25 round to the dome usually takes care of the problem. if im on my way to work, the last thing im going to do is go out of my way to try and track down the owner of a dog that didnt belong on the highway in the first place.

I never understood why a loving responsible pet owner would KNOWING let there dogs run around unattended KNOWING damn well they might get KILLED in the street/road OR make a HUMAN BEING wreck there car or truck trying to miss a dog or a dog just chases your vehicle and you hit it and wreck. UNFUCKING BELIEVABLE

Would you let your CHILD chase cars or run around on streets???????????????????

Why would somebody put years and years and years in money and care and everything else needed for a pet THEN let it run around on roads??????????????? SOME PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND JUST DON'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND "NEVER " WILL

If you run over a dog it's not your fault. You might be putting yourself at physical risk by notifying an owner that you ran over their dog. Just keep going. In fact, don't even swerve for the fawker because you might get in a wreck and hurt yourself because some shitheel doesn't care enough about other people or their dog. I've run over several--thump-thump. We have so many critters in the roads being as it's all woods around here; I don't even swerve or touch the brakes unless I am 100% sure I am clear all around. I curse, but I don't risk myself, family or other drivers over animals.

I hit a fish once. But I didn't stop, it got stuck in my wipers on a busy highway.

Seriously!.....it fell from the sky (probably dropped by a bird I think, it was close to a big lake).

Had a co-worker hit a black cow heading to work one morning, said he never saw it till it was on his hood. The cows owner heard the camotion, woke up, and went to make sure everything was ok (we live in an "open range" county). Supposedly the damn thing got up and tried to run away, no jaw, 3 good legs and all. He said it took some double 00 buckshot to end it.

True story...
