So i got a good deal on my ranger 01 4x4 4L but it needs some work.
when i got it, it had an error code p1401 i googled this and found that the DPFE sensor might be bad. so i got a new one a replaced it today.
well. good and bad.. i cleared the code and drove around for a while and the code didn't come back. but it doesn't really seem that the idle is much better.
THEN while i was driving around it stalled on me. so i shut it off and tried to start again and it was kinda just puttin a bit then it stalled again. so i let it sit for a minute and started it up and it seem to run ok but when i hit the gas the temp sensor instantly fell to Low and kind of bounced back and forth to where it should be. then i saw a CHECK GAUGE light. the truck seems drivable but it seems when i hit the gas this happens. and i still have a weird idle. no check engine light tho.
any thoughts on this?
