For those that know what Black Bear Pass is in Colorado, I just saw this video of someone rolling off of it.

I think I read about this one, the driver was out of the Jeep helping someone and it rolled away I think?

Yeah, the passenger and two dogs were ejected. Haven't heard about how the passenger was doing but the dogs were fine

She was in rough shape. I don’t think it would have been a trip to ride out though.

Supposedly the parking brake was set, I have heard conflicting reports of it was idling in neutral or off/in gear or in park.

In park/in gear with the parking brake set unless it was parked very stupidly it should not have gone anywhere.

If not for the five point turn it would have clobbered the black Jeep too.

I wonder if this is the one I heard about where one dog was lost for a few days but was recovered a little malnourished and a bit dehydrated but otherwise safe and ok. That is a hell of a drop off for anything to go over. I had my '90 S-10 on its wheels roll down a 150 foot drop off and go through 2 trees and the third that stopped it ended up at the axle in the center of the bed. A friend was driving and didn't set the parking brake. Was a total loss. Even the cab was twisted. Hood, fenders and nose minus the bumper and valance between the grill and bumper were all that was good on the body on mine.

EDIT: oh the factory roll bar was still good which was a surprise considering where the tree ended up between the rear angled bars.

85_Ranger4X4 beat me to it. If the video taker had been any quicker on that turn, they would have been more than a spectator.
