replaced the guts in the 1350 with 6 gear planetaries and shiftfork assembly from a 1997 ranger Electric 1354 case Front case welded inside and out, then milled flat for a good seal.

I broke one of the plastic shift guides during assembly and had to go pull another case for a replacement...scavenging for parts at the pull and pay

1st gear x LO Tcase x LO Doubler x R&P = Final Crawl

4.0 M50D w dual T-case
3.40 x 2.48 x 2.48 x 4.56 = 95.36:1 :D

couldn't use the offset TREs because they rubbed the rims so I shaved the diff cover and used standard one ton chevy TREs

mounted the ram to drivers side coil bucket, the track bar to the pass side and boxed them in

had a local place resize my driveshafts

Trailgear 6" ram had plenty of throw for the D30

Looks good. I'll be starting my doubler soon, in a couple weeks, but I've got a slightly different approach. What's the measurement from the reduction box mounting surface at the trans to the rear Tcase mounting flange? As I recall, its right at 8"...

Thanks. Few things to do before I can wheel it. The kit adds ~7.5", and the overall length of both cases came out to ~19.5" (Trans mount surface to rear flange)

I'm going to build my own crawlbox using the 54 internals. I'm thinking I can get it down to the 4-6" length range. I'll know more when I get it apart and start measuring things in a couple weeks...

Ranger looks great! Get that front shaft in so we can go wheeling. :)

Nice, looks great
