Hello guys, I have some bad news... my truck was totaled last night. I came to a dead stop due to traffic in front of me at a highway exit lane, within seconds I got rear ended by a BMW X5. Officer estimated the BMW hit me at 60 to 70 miles per hour.

Not sure what the driver did to cause her to lose so much focus, but here's my baby, and pride and joy in her last position...

I thank God that my passenger and I were able to walk away and I thank God my truck was able to protect me when it counted. I seriously realize that life truly is a gift and just one change to the scenario and I could have been dead. I'm experiencing light neck and back pain but I'm still here today to show you guys the pictures.

Not sure what my next vehicle will be, if it isnt an RBV, I truly want to thank all the posters and the ranger station for their help and guidance with modding my truck so I could love it every second of the day.

Thanks

Alex

I will be making a trip to see the vehicle. If anyone has some parts request, LET ME KNOW! I can remove what I can and sale it to anyone at a reasonable price. The engine compartment is still in relatively good condition. I have a K&N system in it s well.

You can PM me the parts request or simply post it on this thread.

Before you start pulling parts?

Sense you're not at fault, the driver of the other car's insurance will need to do it's thing and most likely the truck will finish it's life at the knackers yard. If you start pulling anything more then a car stereo? The other insurance company could give you a headache sense they will be paying you for the truck's fair market value. Document everything and every upgrade. So when they hit you with the expected 'Low Ball' B/S offer? You can hit them back with "That's what the stock truck is worth---Here's the listed of the items your driver just destroyed in the impact".

Glad you and the passenger made it through okay. Looks like it was a hell of an impact. Hold off on signing any medical release stuff as well. You could feel great today--and in two weeks start showing signs of injuries....

Sorry about your truck man, it was a really sharp looking one :(

good thing is ur OK and I hope you get another one.

Wow... that held up incredibly well considering how fast the BMW was going. I'm glad you are alive and well. Too bad you're truck isn't.

Thank God you both are O.K....like they said--hold off for months before settling any medical claims just in case....

Sorry to see such a great looking truck bent up so bad.....

Wow... glad you guys are fine! What did the beemer look like, and what kind of shape were those occupants in?

Definitely will use your tips, thanks so much for that! I only removed the stereo everything else is in it. And I'll make a list of the damaged parts.

Well, if it had been my truck the driver would have experienced a broken face, severe neck injury, broken fingers and wrists, and possibly detached retinas owing to a "faulty airbag deployment".

Wowza, I have never seen someone's phone get jammed down their throat by an airbag deployment before.

Could you imagine Rick's (RangerSVT) Ranger getting rear ended.... or make that rear tired? They might get thrown backwards when they hit those tires.
