i had the same problem and the easiest way (i had it done at the shop). on a lift take a bfh to it and it should come off as you turn the tire.

Well spent today and yesterday soaking the sob with penetrant and using force such as kicking punching dropping, everything.

threw all this kicking and screaming.. It will just not come off. I left the pos in a bath of penatrating oil for the night. tommrrow is d day and this thing will come off. Ive been thinking iam going to use a tube jack behind it and put little pressure just enough and wack it with a bfh until i cant move my arms. so :thefinger: that rim. Also i will get pics without a doubt.

Any other in genious ideas will help to someone was talking about using chain and a pipe on the hub.. how does that go?

where do you live man?????

Methuen, Massachusetts.. truck sat in driveway for years snow rain crap anthing just building up in there.. i dont know why the other one came off so easy like a normal one though.. wouldnt both be screwed up?

no problem and what kind of rims do you have on the truck and are they steel??

stock 14 inch aluminum rims. On steel hubs. nasty.

that has ugly all over it.

i bought a 79 mustang that had a steel rim do the same thing. i soaked in in PB Blast and used a torch to heat the center. i smacked in with a BFH for 30 mins it came off:icon_thumby:

you put all the wheels back on and you keep the lug nuts on but really loose and take it easy to not to damage anything!!

That is ****ing stupid. Good way to break something or get hurt.

Check the junkyards to see if you can get a matching wheel, then beat the shit out of it with a sledge hammer. The wheel is probably done anyway because of the torch.

Having thought about this a little, I think the best way for you to solve this would be to pull the diff cover, remove the cross pin retaining bolt, remove the cross pin, push the stuck wheel in towards the center of the axle, it will move about a 1/4 inch, remove the Cclip on the end of the axleshaft, and slide the axle shaft, drum and wheel out of the axlehousing.

From there you can support the wheel with some sawhorses or something and beat the center of the axle shaft right out of the wheel.
