Rim is completly stuck to hub. CAN NOT get it off.

I like this idea. Slamming on the brakes, basically locking them up usually does it as well.

Other than that, a BFG hammer does the trick, but like he said, be careful. Hitting the tire can bounce it back and hit you...:black_eye:

Thats the thing i dont even have any brakes there apart on one side lines are all unfinished and im trying to get this tire off to replace these rear drum brakes completly.. so driving it cant work

Also it is an aluminum rim. I did torch the sh** out of it but it loved it.. didnt do a thing this rim is really really on there.. years of sitting outside not being driven.. the thing that gets me is the other side came right off no problems this one seems like something is holding it back?////

is there anyway i can unscrew and pull off the hub and the rim together and bang them apart on a bench. The hub on this looks like theres a tool to fit in and take it off. btw its a 98 2wd ranger with drum rear.

you can pop the rear dif cover off an pull the c clip then pull the whole shaft an drum off as one.

Thats a good idea but seems like It could possibly end up making just to much work for this.. Does the hub uncrew/pop out or how would you access the hub like get it out. Becuase the rims severly stuck to the hub and if i could get that off then id just bang it apart on a bench.

Could you maybe put a jack behind the tire and against the fram and push it right off? a cylindrical jack like the one they give you under the seat for the emergency kit..

Wow, everybody's already listed all my ideas. I can't wait to hear the final solution to this one.

Small bottle jack, Chain, piece of pipe the same size as your center hub, place chain around rim, with an extra set of hands, place jack and chain and start put tension on it. will pop off no issues.....

p/s pipe goes from hub to jack...... lol

Get a chain/duct tape and a white f350(it has to be white and an f350 or it won't work) put the chain/duct tape on the tire and pull like hell.

I kinda like the idea of getting the tires rotated too.

lol don't forget white f350

Jack the entire rear end off the ground. start truck with lug nuts off and floor it and spin till the tire flies off. Make sure babies and anybody you don't hate is clear. I suggest doing this far from civilization no telling how far the wheel will go when it finally comes loose.

You dont have to drive it, just loosen the lugs a little and dump the clutch.

If its an auto try and jimmy between R-N-D with a skosh of right foot.

If you 'torched' the rim, then it SHOULD NOT be reused as heating it will distort it and cause the aluminum to become brittle. Someone more advanced in metallurgy can give you a deeper explanation....

Otherwise, loosen the lug nuts to just hand tight, then do a short drive. Jack that wheel off the ground, then pound on the tire on the inside with a sledge hammer while rotating it.

Big sledge hammer. If I can get stuck duelies on a F550 off with a sledge, YOU can get it off a Ranger.

Don't hold back. Swing that hammer.

No, you can't pop the hub out separate from the axle, they are one, welded, machined, made together and not separating any time soon short of a bad accident (seen it more than once) or the events described in my previous post.
