Rev limiter?

Is there a rev limiter on the 02 4.0? Im hitting 6k rpm without a limiter kicking in, havent gone passed that to see if there is.

Ive done that and as far as i can tell nothing happened.

I don't know about the SOHC engine, but I know the OHV doesn't have one(at least in my 93 ecu) and is pretty much limited by the amount of air the heads can flow, which isn't very much.

My 94 EEC has one at about 5250 (BAD1 calibration code)

You probably have one around 3K in P/N, but not in gear.
