Return of the Five-Point-Oh!

Don't get your hopes up just yet.

If I was a bettin man, I'd say it'd be just a bored/stroked version of the Modular 4.6L

My understanding is that it's all new...completely different from the 4.6/5.4 mod motors.

IT LIVES! :yahoo: Once my truck is paid off, I think I will make the attempt to slide one in my truck.

How about an actual build sheet?
Dave

A couple of entries to drool over...the first one is a California Special.

how's that? 5.0l displacement is still 5.0l's of displacement.

Your so called 5.0l you talk about is not a 5.0l. It was rounded up. And in all math rules it was rounded up wrong.

5.0l = 305.19
4.94l= 302

so suck it up and have a merry christmas
boom!

What? No hooker comes with the new Mustang?

It lacks the heart of the heart of the 5.0 mustangs. I own one, and have owned both a shelby GT (07) and a 06 GT. Nothing alike. There will never be a replacement

You do realize that the '06 and '07 Mustang GT's have the 4.6 correct?

Yes, I've been building mustangs for 10 years. They are both still modular based. This is just another modular vs pushrod debate as far as I'm concerned. The LSx series motors make tremendous power, great mileage, all with one bumpstick that based off the age old design of the 350 by robert yates. Ford in turn took a jaguar concept motor, and here you have all the current and future motors stemming from that. Irregardless I don't find modulars near as appealing. Theres something about a 302 with a set of big heads, big cam, and a set of headers from hell that just sounds right. I'm all for efficient smooth powerbands but when you can't feel it, it's just not right. Thats why I sold my 06

Sexy. I wonder if we can swap that in a Ranger. That would make a really killer sleeper.
