Here are some requested pictures of my recent Dana 30 swap onto my 88 Ranger. I bought this Ranger 2 years ago from a buddy for $500. It had the Dana 28 front axle under it. This is a high pinion dana 30 from a 92 Wrangler.

What's the front shock mount off of? Got any pics of it on the truck without the tire blocking the view? Did it give you a longer shock, or did you just use it for a mount when you got rid of the coil bucket?

What's up with the body mount?

I like that swap idea, looks pretty straight forward! How's it handle?

Yeah I know ........ one thing at a time. It needs a front sway bar and a steering box. Other than that it does real well.

The shock mounts are from a 03 F-250. That location is maybe 1/2 inch higher than the top stock shop location. The lower mount is the factory one on the dana 30, the shock is a Pro Comp ES1000. They are for the rear of a 00 Excursion with a 6 inch lift. I will get a picture of it with the tire off to give you a better idea.

How hard was it to put the 92 front on your truck, was it bolt on with a little mods.? My dad was thinking of doing it and I figured I ask.

I decided to go woth coils on my truck.

That truck looks sweet btw.

The whole front-end was changed over from a buddies truck which he rolled back in 98, that truck was a 91. The doghouse was also changed over from the 91 and welded on. The fenders are from my 92 as they already had the cut-iout flares on them. Also swapped from the 91 was the 4.0, A4LD and the 1354E.
