I have another thread in here as well but this is a different issue I've run into. I have a OEM Luk clutch kit and slave cylinder for my 1998 2.5 ranger and while getting ready to install the slave I noticed I do not have the large rubber seal that buffers the bearing from the retaining ring. The new kit comes with a new ring and a small o-ring that im not too sure where it goes? But no large rubber seal/buffer... Any help would be awesome guys, I really need to get this installed tmrw!

figured it out. the "buffer/seal" was the metal lip from inside the thrust bearing. It had separated.

Make sure that you replace the small o-ring, on the end of the clutch line(truck side).
