removing sway bar

Im gonna be taking mine off for sure

i have always taken them off, but with my 86 im almost afraid to, im going to tonight so its easier to pull a spring and leave it off when i get it together and see what it drives like.

took my front off for a while, it was nice at first. then i decided to but them back on for road maners, my route to work is very windy and bumpy. so i made a set of QDC's

Good idea clifford. Any concern with the link falling into the coil or tie rod, or do you just take it off? My 88 2wd came with no sway bars stock. Got a little sketchy a few times with the junk shocks that were on it when I bought it. Was not too bad once I got good shocks on it. I have since started running a small sway bar on the rear only and that is the best it has driven on the street so far. I have not done anything extreme off road yet, and don't plan to until I get some chevy leafs on the back, so I don't know yet how much trouble the bar will be for me off road.

Will removing the sway bar increase wheel travel up front or does it just allow the wheels to move independently?
