Removing steering column

I have pulled steering columns before out of older trucks, But I just cant get the steering shaft disconnected at the rag joint, I have undone the bolts and pulled it out just above the rag joint, every thing else is unbolted but its just rusted on solid, I sprayed it down but sense the truck is sitting in a wrecking yard and I was actually able to test it, I know the ignition is good, I really want this thing, Any one have any idea's ? I really don't want to loose this steering column and I don't want to mess up the ignition trying to pull it out, any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
