Hello everyone ! Just registered/joined the rangerstation site. I could use a little guidance with my problem. There is a block-off plate or some such missing from lower LF corner of engine. Just below injection pump on side of block. If anyone can make any suggestions as to what may have happened and/or why it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, geeboIII

Welcome to TRS. Hopefully, someone here will have some insight for you. The diesels were not plentiful. So we don't have a lot of info about them. If you can post some pictures, showing the shape of the hole and give more context about the location, that may be helpful. What do you see when you look inside the hole?

For the moment no pics. I'm just thinking someone should be familiar with what would be in that area of the engine block. My guess was a blockoff plate.
But, it's new to me this engine and I'm guessing. Thanks for reply !

Welcome. I wish I could help identify your part, but the info I could find wasn't helpful. It didn't even show the injection pump.

Could you post up a picture of where its missing exactly and whats around it?

Pictures would help a lot. 99.99999999% of us here have never seen, let alone touched a diesel Ranger.

Ok. Here's actual and a drawing. For the time being I'm simply gonna block off
the area where the two tubes from the filter housing enter the block. At this point I wanna just make sure it's running properly. The tubes and the mounting
are missing. I'm sure with aftermarket hardware a remote filter and flexible hoses can be easily hooked up. Thanks to all who've replied !

Well, thank you all for for the help ! Got it up an' running ! But, considering the scarcity of support , interest, etc,etc.... I'm liquidating. Great project to continue with. It'll be on ebay and elsewhere. Thank you again !

There may be a guy or two here, interested in that Deisle Ranger. Like mentioned above, they are pretty rare these days.

Exactly. Put it in our for sale section with price, location and details. You may find a buyer right here.

sorry you’re choosing not to keep it.

Yeah, I have interest. Just hard to justify another purchase, especially without the diesel knowledge. Also a bit afraid I might have to sleep in it if I got another one.
