Does anyone make them? I got new window seals for Christmas and that really quieted up my Ranger at highway speeds, but I still have a whistle from the back window.

Do they make replacement strips to seal the movable windows against the immoble panes and the the strips with the latches? With innop A/C I imagine they get a lot of wear.

Dunno if they made a 3 peice rear window like they did for other trucks, but mine is a 4 peice.

Hey where did you get the new window seals? Mine is due too...

85,i don't think you can get seals but a new slider window should be under 200$

mine leaks its on the list also

The window is perfect aside from a whistle, I can tolerate it for a long time before I have to buy a new window...

ill bet you could get the whole rear window out of a newer truck from the wrecking yard for WAY cheaper than $200. im just not sure if gen 3+ and gen 1's used the same window :dunno:.

mine needs rebuilt/replaced as well. the tracks are full of sand and the seals are toast (leaks). i plan on "upgrading" to a one-peice slider with the better latch when i can afford it.

LMC truck shows the same window will fit 83-97.

I think I mainly just need the seals that seal between the sliding panes and the stationary panes.

I don't have A/C so it is open 75%+ of the time I drive it anyway, I think I will wait to break it before I replace it.

the same window will not fit 83 to 97 , the 83 - 92 trucks used a window that was held in place by a seal , i know because i have changed them , 93 - up use a window that is bolted in , i know because i swapped the sliding rear out of my 96 into my 2000

the '93 and up windows are not bolted in. i had mine out just a few weeks ago to try and slow said leak. its held in with the big rubber seal.

in fact, ive never seen a rear truck window held in with bolts. even the brand new f-150's with the electric slider is held in with the seal....:dunno:

well i can tell you that when i swapped the windows between my two trucks there were 12 nuts i had to remove and the window then popped out , my stepdads f-150 is the same way , and his interior is half apart , so i will be right back with pics

well i already got the pic

and it may be on 95 and up , after they changed the interior , on mine there are ten nuts , there is a seal , but it only covers the outside and it has a sticky tar like backing

sorry it is so blurry , camera didnt do to well in in the back of my truck

My 96 was held in by just the seal as well. No bolts, no "tar". There are 2 different style windows that I have noticed over the years. There ia a larger window(at least it seam that way) that has a smaller rubber seal around it from the outside. The windows like mine have a more bulky seal. Maybe there is where the difference is............I always wondered if I could put the cleaner design in my truck.

mine definitely has the bulky seal...that thing is a beast.

WNY964x4, is your rear window a slider? does it have one sliding pane or two? ILLEGALCONCEPTS, same question. im wondering what the difference is here. i cant see ford making two different seals just for fun...

mine has a single sliding pane , my 92 , that i did a window swap in had twin sliding panes
