I need to get the driver seat out of my '93 XLT. The front two bolt heads holding it in are plain to see; the rear bolts are covered with various plastic trim and guards.

Just where are those two bolts and what will I need to get to them? What about that piece of channel connected to the seat framework and the side of the 'hump'? Does that have to come off, too? -thx

The two rear bolts will have a single plastic cover over them that pops off with a screw driver or other blunt pointy tool...I found some in a 93 Explorer and just had to pop them off to get at the bolts.

The side rail on the inside of the seat is usually for the seat belt and it comes out with the seat when you lift it up...may have to take out the torx head bolt (or was it a 10mm) that holds the seat belt to it but I can't remember. I have similar seats and want to swap to the floor mounted belt on the inside between the seats. Then I can remove that rail that seems to always get in the way when I want to vacuum under the seat.

Anyway, the rear bolts are usually easier to get at when you slide the seat all the way forward...
