Rear Antilock Brake Light and Cruise Control?

OK, that makes sense. The cruise control has to see a load on the brake lamp circuit with the brake off. Hopefully putting the 1157 bulbs back in fixes the RABS light and the cruise.

Success. I removed the LED's and the warning light went away and the cruise control is working again. Funny I don't remember installing the LED's when I changed the starter.
Now the question is do I need to put a resistor in line with both the running lights and the brake lights or just the brake lights. My assumption is just the brake lights. I wouldn't imaging the runnings lights would be monitored by the rear antilock brake warning. A very rewarding fix. Thank you again for the info.

Good to hear of a resolution. You can add a resistor to the brake light circuit, but if I'm not mistaken I think you can buy LED lamps that are already "loaded". That would save you the hassle and keep the truck's wiring unaltered.
