RCV axleshafts


I hope to run rcv shafts with the jana 54 r&p kit in an hp44 housing and 38-39 inch tires. Sounds like a good balance between strength, clearance and weight.

I don't think they would be a good idea with the 44 r&p. Why would you want the weak link to be the hardest thing to fix. I would much rather swap a lockout on the trail. R&P and diff should be stronger than axles, axles stronger than lockouts.

At least it's what I'm shooting for
 
You always have to remember though, you can get 4340 Yukon ChroMo D44 shafts WITH spicer 760X joints for around $450. That's what BrayD is running and he DEFINITELY beats that axle with 37's & beadlocks.

Thats a good point, cheap way to get a lifetime warranty and a pretty tough axle.
