Ravo's Ranger

i think his intake is just polished up real smooth... i think the "chrome" statement was sarcasm..

Idk. It looks chrome to me. I don't think you can get aluminum that smooth and mirrored without chrome

everyone loves boxes!!!

its my new axle shaft. but the guy messed up. of course. when i talked to him i asked if it was the complete axle. meaning up to the hub. he said it should be so my mom ordered it later that day (me not having my own credit card yet sucks).. and what do i get???? just the stub that goes into the diff. so i gotta call him up tomorrow and see what we can do.

also my heads just got their first coat of paint. i should start reassembly tomorrow afternoon! don't worry. there will be pictures. i can't wait to see the color scheme of the engine once its all together

Yeah. Best case scenario he realizes he messed up and sends me the other half. Or I just have to probably pay like 50 bucks for the rest.

started assembling things. i feel better already. also my camber problem went away now that i got my heads back in. they were leaning bad with no weight in there. anyway.
heads all torqued down

look at how dumb ford is. why wouldn't they give you a torque rating instead of degrees

lower intake on. can't wait to get the covers and intake and exhaust on to really get the full extend of the color contrast

The degrees represents a torque-to-yield bolt vs a torque-to-spec.

where is there paint inside my motor? i made sure i covered every opening before i sprayed

it's been a few days, but my dad dopped my left valve cover and chipped the paint. i had to repaint them like 4 times because the paint kept cracking. i finally got it. everything is torqued down. now i just need to finish hooking things up.

looks like a brand new engine

also. does any one know where i can get new exhaust manifold bolts besides ford(they want like 10 bucks each). or if you know the sizes that i would need to order new ones through say fastenal or something

anyone know the manifold bolt sizes. i really need them to finish putting her back together.

also i finally found the elusive front stub shaft/slip yoke i've been looking for. 4x4 will be hooked up as soon as it gets here. then i can finish bleeding the brakes

well. i measure my own manifold bolt sizes and got those mounted up this morning. also i got the alternator all hooked up. now i just need the power steering pump and bracket hooked up, change the oil, new coolant, put the air filter back on, bleed the brakes and hang the exhaust and i can turn the key after over a month of it sitting. also my new front axle/slip yoke should be arriving monday so 4x4 will be an option again. yay.
all this work has been a pain in the butt but it will be worth it. i'm glad i took this out of that guys hands. he wasnt treating her good at all

looks good i wanna see it on the big tires though lol

and as for that "chrome" intake up there it was polished it took the guy 9 hours to do it or somthing i remember reading the thread

soon. i'm picking them up next sunday. the wheels are from a tj. i think i read somewhere that the hole is too small for my hubs though? is that true?

i'm probably going to get a set of leveling coils too. should look good
