rangers made of gold????????

Damn, thats an expensive ranger. I bought my '93 splash (no dents, rust) 4x4 with 85,000 miles last year for $2,900! My advice, keep lookin.

wow, i know mini pick-ups upped there value due to gas prices, but he's smokin if he thinks hes gunna get that much for a 1993 with 157k on it

its weird seeing that picture.. my buddy has the SAME EXACT truck right down to color an what not an its condition is NOTHING compared to that.. id keep looking i bought my 2wd splash for 600

1997 2wd , not splash but stepside extra cab no rust mint $1200

Theres a 92 longbed 2.9 4x4 ranger in our local car trader for 5,400$ Thats just too much!
I got my 88 for 1,500$, with no problems and it has very little rust for our area.

same as my truck only its got 60K more miles than mine had when i got it. 5 years ago i paid $5K for mine in alaska (overpriced). that trucks way overpriced.

my early model 2001 (bought in 2000) is worth (according to vehix.com) $9,000 retail, $13,000 wholesale. (only 69,000 miles)

go in there and hammer them down on the price, they proably only gave the origonal owner a grand for trade in...they have lots of room to budge on the price...go get em

My opinion: don't buy from dealers. Every time you walk out with something you're funding their vacation to Mexico and it just perpetuates the cycle of getting ripped when you trade something in. That ad is a good example of it.

Buy private party cars as often as you can. Car dealers are the lowest form of life.

"There's one born every minute" attributed to P.T. Barnum

Buying that truck at that price would make "one born every minute" true.

I made out like a burgler then. I bought my 04 ext cab 4x4, loaded with everything but the gay decal package, for 11,500. That was almost 2 years ago when the truck had 23k on it. Or perhaps it is that KBB doesn't take market conditions in to the equation and doesn't realize that most people aren't exactly clamoring for American cars anymore.
