Since I last posted been working alot and built a cage front and rear bumpers for a buddys cj5. Its got a 5.3 sm465 dana 300 chopped down chev 44 8.8 explorer rear arbs 4.88 gears 36 inch iroks on beadlocks. Its fun to drive getting back on the ranger now that this is out of my driveway. Heres some crappy pics because Im never home when its daylight anymore.

The cj5 isn't mine a buddys father inlaw owns it. The green cj7 is mine a few pages back. Wheelbase on the truck is around 118" or so I like the stance so far still a little tall but we'll see.

Ive been buying stuff like crazy 3g alternator some misc fuel injection stuff starter. Also got tranny fluid oil tune up stuff master clynder and all my brakelines. Flexed the truck out measured for shocks and drivelines. Gonna run toyota shafts stronger than 1310 stuff and I can adapt it to the dana 20 with these flanges I had made. Got some fox shocks 14" front 12" rear fronts got resivior. And drilled and tapped my steering box for future hydro assist. Windshield is going in friday and got a bunch of stuff from upullit this weekend. And finally got my guages auto meter prolite tach speedo tranny temp water temp oil pressure fuel level fuel pressure voltmeter. Picked up some cool craigslist finds for the 3.0 version of this build stay tuned.

Been working alot so not alot of progress got the truck pretty much wired. New 160amp alternator and new starter gauges just a little bit left once I figure out vss and the autometer sending unit for the speedo. Got drivelines back from driveline tech there toyota ifs fronts cv's ground out for extra clearence. They're made with .156 wall dom and the slips are sleeved with
.120 wall tubing. Ive been running his drivelines in my jeep for 8 years and have sat the rig on them these things will take a beating. Also got the flexalite electric fan mounted and tranny cooler. And got the braklines done got most of the stuff from oil filter services in portland. They are great with any hose or brake line need.

i REALLY want to the same cab like yours onto my explorer but the 4 doors sure makes it nice with a little one. once mine's old enough to buckle himself in or once this gets flopped then i can start really thinking about it.

Started building this 8 years ago before I was married or had kids. I've got plans on how I'm gonna cram everyone in there stat tuned.

im thinkin that with a single seat centered in the rear and no center council my kid would be able to squeeze in there until he is ready for his own rig. and i would still have room for stuff i would like to keep dry and secure
