Ranger44's build: Project FAZDA

Looking good! Gotta let us know how well those Ex. RA and new cross member work when you get them in!

Slung some more primer and dark grey on the front suspension parts.

Going to my dads Sunday to weld on those beams and buckets.

Contacted the driveline company on the u-joint and they had 1 out my way yesterday.

All is good.

I wish all parts grew on trees......

Who says they don't??? :icon_thumby:

That truck is lookin' real good man! I'll have to keep an eye on the build for sure!

Thanks man!

Things will get moving soon, so much boring prep.......like watching paint dry....literally.

My driver's side door started doing this stupid shit of not rolling up the window when it's about 3" from being closed. Like the teeth come out of contact. It'll roll down easy and without a hitch, but going up it's a pain. Gonna have to wait for a nice day to look into that...It storming now.

Another batch.......

A little welding was done today...

A lack of cutoff wheels and blades for my dads metal saw held up progress. I believe I'll have to postpone alot of the reinforcement work for a couple weekends.

I know it looks a little rough.....needs a little of the slag cleaned off, and some more plate...but that requires cutting:icon_twisted:

Good penetration:

Going to be placing 1/4" plate around the bottom 5 bolt holes and around the bottom of the off the diff area. This will create an overhang that will help protect the diff a bit.

Along with that, 1/8" will be used to box around the pivots and to plate around the opening for the P-side shaft. Of coarse after the opening is enlarged to allow for shaft clearance.

I think I may have enough 1/4" to whip up a diff cover for my 7.5.....we'll see.

Nevermind that diff cover pattern. I have a much better one. Cleaner.

Got my shocks yesterday. Made an uh oh. The eyelet bushings are just too small to fit over the current mounts. So......I'm thinking a change to open style mounts with bolts through them will work better.

Go big, then go home.....

since when are you plasma equipped? anywho, let me know how the diff cover works out.

I'm NOT. I will be looking for one for hire.

Please tell me you might know somebody, that knows somebody.......
