I have a 94 that we plan to use as a towed vehicle behind the new to us motor home. Anyhow the guy gave me the tow bar said I would need to get the frame brackets. I contacted the company and they must make them from unobtaineum with the prices quoted! $3-450 for 2 frame mounts.

My question is, does anyone have a road master hitch assembly who could either send me some pictures of the mounts (a piece of steel to attach to frame with a tube mount for the hook up). Or if someone could send me the dimensions of the frame mount and where it hooks up so I can take to have locally manufactured.

If nothing else if someone has a set of used brackets they want to get rid of?????

TIA Hank

Amazon sells several different brackets. Look in Automotive and tow bars.

doofy, I did, but they have the complete bars, but all I need are the frame brackets I have everything else!

What is the brand and model of the tow bar?

Oh, Go to the Automotive department then type in "tow bar brackets". They had over 1200 results. Should be at least something close enough to work. Any decent welding shop should have no problem fabbing up a pair, though.

Try U-Haul also. They might be able to help out with some brackets. I used their two bars a few times traveling across country. This company really tries to help out as much as they can.

Doofy, it is a road master all terrain 6K rated. If I could get a picture from someone then yes that is what I would do as a guy down the street is a welder and there is a metal yard just down a little further.

Wow, Hank857. That Roadmaster brand is spendy! Amazon does list 144 different brackets but they are all spending. A new tow bar or a good welding show would be your best bet.

that is why I am trying to find someone who may have a similar setup so I can get dimensions to fabricate and see how it comes out the front!

Try posting up a picture of the ends of the bar with a tape measure showing how wide it is.. Somebody might have an idea then...

went to camp world today and what I have will not work so will need to just fab a new setup. What I am going to need is the pieces that bolt to the frame of the ranger so it should be pretty simple.
