Im liking that a lot.
but the thing on mine is: i need to cover the airbag module.
Ill try to finish sealing the floor tomorrow and focus on measurements and start cutting the cover on friday.

No, no 4WD yet.
i was having too much noise on the cab. so i took the CV boot off the small shifter. since theres nothing letting the noise come in, its better. the trans is still making noise.
We jacked it up today and the driveshaft is way off. The vibration is making the trans to make noise. ill have to ttake it to a shop so they fix it next week. if the noise keeps messing. then ill have to open the damn thing and replace the bearings.

Ok, so i started hacking the cupholders today.
And seems like it works good.

In order to clear the tab that secures it from going 4 Low, i had to move the cupholder thing a bit to the driver side, and trim the boot hole so the shifter still moves to 5th and reverse without issues.

I still need to secure the boot and give a better finish to the cuts.
Im thinking about putting some rivets all around the boot to make it look a bit more custom.
Since i wont be able to use a boot for the t case shifter, ill just get some rubber and make a cut so the shifter moves through it.

The first idea wasnt working so well.
So today we came up with another idea for the cupholders deal.
Taking Fords idea of the cupholders attached to the seat, that move along with the seat we grabbed an old cupholder/tray, those universal things that everyone had in the 90's LOL
WE cut it at the size we need it. and made some L shaped brackets to weld them unde the seat metalic frame.

I managed to make the extensions fit.

As for the airbag module cover.
I ended up cutting it and just leave the part that we need.
riveted a plate to cover the hole.
I have those 4X4 badges since long time ago.
Ive been wanting the opportunity to use them on my truck, and i finally can.
Some people might not like them, but they hold a special value to me.
so...

Tomorrow hopefully ill buy a couple universal rubber boots for the shifters- I finally found a place that still sells those.
I hope we have this fully done by Saturday.

Finally got the shifters done.
I got this nice knob, a bit of paint to cover the 5 spd stick pattern and its good to go.

I wanted some diamond plate, but i couldnt find any. So this aluminum piece will do.

shift boot looks very similar to mine only i used stainless and riveted the factory boots to that.

Man I need to update my thread i guess. hahaha
