Hey I was wondering if anyone has heard of a free back lift kit for fords?
Also I wanted to know what the cheapest way to put on a front end lift. All I want is like 2 inches because I dont wanna buy aftermarket shocks and such.

If anyone's got any ideas I'd love to hear them

Thanks
Steve

What year and what kind of Ranger...2wd or 4x4? Coil springs?? Etc. Etc. Do a search in the suspension forums area and see the info and photos there. Lots of great info for you, Bro. Lots of great photos. Nothing is free..you gotta pay for it with love and labor!!!

front: washer lift (search this)
rear: if your truck is 2wd find some 4x4 lift blocks

You clowns funny!!! I laugh very hard. I laugh so hard snot come out my eyes. Hey!! I'm talking here!!! Ok...it is a 92 2wd with 4x4 that has three differenr motors in it and it sits funny, maybe it is running and maybe not.....geeze......some posters......

I did this with my ranger, find a machine or fabrication shop in your area and get 1 3/8 inch washer(hard to find in any stores like Lowes or Home Depot, but you never know) stack multiple washers ontop of eachother so they are around 1.75 inches high, weld or jbweld them and put them under your coil spring. Just make sure you align your wheels after any lift.

Otherwise for the rear (per the original post) Belltech GM lowering shackles, 4x4 lift blocks (if 2wd). Explorer leaf springs can bump it up a little too.

Stacking and using washers is not safe and is not recommended by any 4x4 shop in my area or any of the 4x4 shows on TV. I do not know anybody here that will use a washer for lift. Just be careful of what you do to lift that truck. By a safe coil spacer that comes from a reputable company, Bro.

Once they are welded together, washers are no different than an actual coil spacer. If anything, that method is better than using poly spacers that can break down over time.

It is a really common way to do it.

Ford did it but with one big hunk of cast iron in the 2wd F-150's. Welded together decently the washers are not going anywhere.

You will never see it done on TV because it is a market washer companies haven't really started pushing yet. The regular lift kit companies pay the TV shows to promote their stuff a lot better.
