Ford must have used some hoses from something else and just threw them on the Ranger Diesels because they just look like they were thrown on there at the last minute. I'd like to get some shorter hoses to clean up the engine bay a little, but don't want to spend the money on a hydraulic crimper that I'll only use once. Not sure what an A/C shop would charge to make custom length hoses, but figured I'd check in here first. Any ideas on maybe another model Ford that has some hoses that would work and possibly look better? Pic for proof that the lines laying over the valve cover and battery were not a good idea. There's a hole rubbed in the bottom of the one on the battery.
