Rangebe...version 2.0

Ya man iwe know what u mean about factory intake locations bein bad. Truck is lookin tittays!! any plans for sliders to keep them rockers alive being soo low

Definitely know about the intake location. One of the storm drains was clogged here and a lane had maybe 6 inches of water and I sucked it up.

Nathan, I am thinking chop the rockers and build sliders. :icon_welder:

thinking ahead with this project. This ranger WILL get a v8 and one tons in the future. In order to accommodate the v8, a body lift will make life much easier. Now, I HATE body lifts, and think they are the cheap way out, but this project is cheap, and as such I may end up putting a 3" BL on it.

I dont really care about the rockers lol. If I smash them up, I will cut them out and weld in some tube. Great thing about a dedicated wheeler...doesnt matter what it looks like :D

Cheers boys, and thanks.

Well, the rear end in this truck was open, and that just wasnt going to cut it.

Peace.

just finishing up school for the year, have a big trip planned for May long weekend.

not absolutely sure yet. Most likely a built 302 for simplicities sake, but who knows.

damn hope you dont break an axle, looks like the pin wont be fun to get out

haha figured somebody would say something about that. The pin was coated in grease, and all that stuff I picked off the pin. On another note...if I break an axle, the axles will get swapped...perhaps even a cheap and dirty SAS......

looking good Nate!

Haha thanks. 3" PA body lift should be here soon. And last night picked up what will become the base for my new front bumper:
index.php

after the lift, this will get bolted/welded to the frame rails and a bumper/stinger welded to it. Will allow me to use my winch as well.

Ive got a big camping/wheeling trip planned for May long, so trying to get this stuff done before than, and am in the middle of finals. Gahhh.

Body lifts really, really SUCK, every single bolt either broke, or was rusted/seized.

Anyways lift is on and looks great. Well the lift looks like crap but the truck as a whole looks great. The body lift was put on SOLELY with intentions of putting a V8 in it later, and needing the extra room beneath the cab.

Pics for the clicks.
