Looking good.

Thanks man. Anyone around here happen to have a good A9L computer for a 5.0 that they want to get rid of?

Engine is coming together....

Worked more on the cage. Got the passenger side pillar bent up and in place, new body mount made and everything installed. Also got the A-pillar cross bar in place. Need to do the roof cross members next, then dash bar and engine cage.

Not right this moment, but I bet I can get ahold of one easy enough.

I need a 12A computer. If you find one and I can get an A9L I'd trade straight up.

So will you have it running for summer? I'm hoping to have mine done in the next few weeks. Only one year behind schedule...

Hope to have engine running yes. Ranger is taking back burner for a little bit, need to show the Super Duty some love. Its getting a new PS pump, 900 ft lb Valair clutch, regulated return, and Stage 1 injectors. Also ditching the fender flairs, and dropping it to a 4" lift, from the 6.5" lift that it has now.

How much rust and rot are those fender flairs covering? :shok:

Almost none, just dont think the truck is proportional now. A 37" tire would fill out the wheel wells awesome, and look good, but is impractical. The truck is too tall, and is a pain in the ass sometimes at this height. Im selling the flares, buying a set of 4" front springs, and losing the block in the ass. Should make the truck a lot more proportional and functional while keeping the 35's I have now. Im no stranger to body work, any small bit of rust that might be there Ill be sure to address and repaint.

6.5" is a ton of lift for 35s... my buddy ran the 38" xmls on a levelling kit and an aftermarket bumper. I went and bought a 4" lift for mine but im wondering if i even wanna put it in i can fit 38.5s as it is...

How much lift is in the ranger you think? I wanna do chevies and a shackle flip to match a 4" lift but dunno where to re arch then too

Not sure, I can measure from ground to bottom of cab if you want?

No Ranger updates...however...couple big things:

1) Passed my licensing exam....its officially Dr. Nate

2) Bought the wife a new 2013 Subaru Forester

Also decided the stock side mirrors were too wimpy, and didnt follow the theme of the truck...so here are some tube mirrors.

Got the front dress of the 302 sorted out. Things were a bit complicated as I am running only the alternator/power steering pump off of the belt drive (electric water pump). As well, I wanted to run a Saginaw pump, all while running Ford factory bracketry. The alternator bracket/tensioner is off of a late 80's F-150. For those of you who don't know, 1987-96 Ford Econoline vans had Saginaw pumps from the factory, and an aluminum bracket; the bracket I found was from a 1994 E-250, non-AC. I had to get a non-AC unit as I needed the idler pulley assembly on top, so the belt wouldn't interfere with the water pump. The tensioner/idler pulleys, belt, and steering pump are just for mock up, and will be replaced with new ones.
