I was wondering some personal opinions as to whether or not raise the rear bumper after a body lift. I can't decide if I want a cap (filled with diamond plate) between the bumper and body, or a gap between the hitch. Any pics of trucks that did raise the bumber and have a trailer hitch would be great. I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. Thanks for any help.

If you don't then you lose that clearance but If you do than you can't pull on it, if you have a receiver under there that's a moot point because it will still be hanging low and you can always pull from that.

It really depends what you want the truck to do, but I'd say get it raised up and just make sure never to tug on it.

Ask around. I know some people managed to cut about 1.5 inches out of their hitch to make it sit right under the bumper and it looks perfectly normal. It still doesn't look too bad 3" under the bumper, maybe just make sure it isn't too rusty (less tacky, ya know)

Yeah...definitely don't want it all rusty looking.
