I've been trying to find the cause of my water leak. Poured water down the cowl vent, and it came right our the bottom of the truck. I'm going to assume that it's not plugged up. I took the kick panels off, and climbed inside the truck while my son hit it with a hose. I saw water dripping from the upper interior trim piece along side the dash. I'm not sure if it's a windshield leak or if the door rubber isn't sealing. I can't see any evidence of water entering either place. What do you all suggest?

For the door seals: you might try shutting a strip of thin cardboard (from a cereal box or something) in the door and then sliding it around the perimeter. Wherever it slides easily, it isn't sealing as tight. A cheap way to possibly remedy that (if that's the issue) is get some black window ribbon (or other really sticky putty) and roll it into a thin strip and wedge it behind the weather stipping. Won't always work, but does sometimes, and hey, it was endorsed by an auto/body teacher I knew! :headbang:
Not sure of an easy way to check along the bottom of the window, short of removing the dash pad and etc, until you can see all around it.

I used the paper in the seal trick. Everything is tight. I just don't see how he water is getting in the truck. We had a pretty hard rain this afternoon. While sitting in the truck, I saw water dripping from the window trim piece (between the door and dash). Ran down the door and on to the floor.

I'm not sure if it's the original windshield or not. In the lower right corner, it Says Pilkington and LOF in a small black square.

My guess would be the windshield then. Mine does that, in HEAVY rain, but I always thought it was because of the big honkin' crack in my windshield and that it had affected the seal.

I was out there today. Ran water into the door seam (only) and no leak. I then ran water across the top center of the windshield, and pretty soon, water started filling up the floor. Now i get to take it to my local glass shop and see if they can fix it. The window it self doesn't need replacing. Just another unexpected expense!!
