I'm almost 100% sure they're not forged. Do you know the cost to forge a part, especially compared with a simple casting?


Ford would not have forged those arms, they would have cost far too much due to the volume that would have to be produced, and the required tooling.

id have to agree here...most likely cast steel which can easily be welded

IDK if it will work on RA's, but I know you can tell a cast crank from a forged one by hitting (tapping) it with a small hammer. If it rings it is forged, if it just clunks it is cast.

finished the second one last night. still need to plate and add my hiems but they turned out sweet. will post more pics when i get back up to the shop.
