it's 4x6x1/4 tube.as for the windshield, that falls under the'only used off road one day a year' clause.i can still see through it for the first 5 seconds of the race....after that it dosen't matter what shape it's in,all you see is mud.:icon_hornsup:

Gwaii, where did you get the tribal art for the tail? I've been looking everywhere for that same northwest style art and can't seem to find anything as good.

where i live i am surrounded by it.the piece on the tailgate is a modification of a work by an artist by the name of freda diesing.her original is more detailed than what i did there,as well as mirror imaged, but i tryed to keep the spirit of the art in my rendition.too bad it's getting so beat up.

not too much tonight-got the bumper done, did a bit of brake work, and pulled a little wheelie in the driveway.had to do a little bit of a mod on the steering column too,as when i hit the throttle, the steering shaft pulled right out of the column....thats not too good.made a new retainer to replace the bit of plastic ford used, which apperantly was not designed for the pull this thing has off the line.and i wasn't even on the giggle gas...

You should get a wheelie vid!

got building the steering brake assembly tonight-still need to make linkages and such, but the bracket is made, and that's the big part.will mount and finish it tomorrow.changed out the airbags in the back for coils from the front of a chevy 1 ton, they happened to be the perfect size and rate for this-no more leakdowns, and this is too heavy for the bags, anyway.did a monster wheelie in the driveway today-scared the crap out of myself, but it got the adrenaline going.will get a vid tomorrow after getting the steering brakes in.

Now I see how the brake steering will work.
I'd like to see a vid too.:icon_bounceblue:

ya,i kept the steering design pretty simple and rugged.there will be a link off the pitman arm that goes to the arm between the two masters.steering the wheel one way or the other will push one master or the other....each is hooked to a caliper on one rear wheel.

not that great a vid,but you get the idea.

so the vid worked?hard to tell on this end-i just get my photobucket page.

tks:icon_cheers:i did a practice run before dragging the wife out to operate the camera-it was not pretty.too much throttle, the nose went straight to the air,the tow hitch on the back dug into the ground, then i hit the brakes....the front came down so hard it caved the hood in.
