you said you did a motor swap? what did the motor in the picture come out of?

its out of a 97 ranger 3.0 .. im putting it in a 96 ranger 3.0 the motor that was in the truck before threw a rod so im just switcching them out.

the motor i pulled had the same thing but i cant member if there was a plug pluged into it

it is a camshaft position sensor, i found two different styles on online, a three wire and a two wire. you might have to carry over your original one

Well, I pulled up the online wiring manual on the PTS, and it's a really crappy pic (bad enough that I'm not going to bother posting it), but it looks like the plug isn't all that far from the coil pack plug.

Of course the connector face and pin-out chart is absent from the manual.

im at the point right now im getting mad with it can you please post the picture

There it is, you want Connector C123, , the label is in A-5, near top center, the arrow points to the connector, around the center, but this is a diagram of the harness as it's supposed to lay installed, I really don't know how much help this is going to be.

I know it sucks looking for that one connector. I'm stuck scratching my head over one at work right now with a shredded harness and two missing wires. I have one end of them, but not the other. The connector the missing ends belong in is there, but the cavities are empty.

It's there somewhere man, it has to be. Just keep looking. Walk away for a day or two if you can, then come back, take a look with some fresh eyes, it will show up.
