Questions about dropping trans

Can't remember if the bearing is in the flywheel or the crank. Forgive me, I see way to many different setups.

If its in the flywheel, you should be able to remove the FW, flip it over and use a chisel or a socket, and just hammer it out.

If its in the crank, its trickier, but not hard. Pack the hole with grease, using a proper sized bolt, or the alignment tool, put it in the hole and smack with a hammer. The hydraulic pressure will pop the bearing right out. Wear a face shield, the grease comes out at your face with a fury.

Alright it's all done. Pilot bearing was pieces of metal when I got to it. But all is replaced and its all better.

Thanks for the help guys

I'm going to be pulling the transmission on my 84 B2 here pretty soon, to replace the rear main seal. If I disconnect the hydraulic clutch line at the quick disconnect, will the whole clutch system need to be bled again, or will it work fine after I reconnect the line? I've never taken one out before so I'm trying to get things figured out before hand so I know what I'm in for. As far as removal and installation that's pretty straight forward after reading several posts, I've just never found any mention of using the quick disconnect on the hydraulic line if the system will stay bled or if I would have to bleed it all again.
