Push button 4x4 not responding


it's the solid orange wire and solid yellow (as I recall). Double check, by going to the motor itself and seeing what color the two wires are that come out of the motor. those two wires can be jumped to the positive and negative posts of the battery and it should turn. Doesn't matter which goes to positive and which to negative.
 
it was the solid orange and yellow. my motor was fried indeed. then i took it apart further and noticed more corroded and broken parts. Thank you for all the help.
 
sounds like it probably got water in it and locked up and shorted out. You can pick those motors up cheap at a junkyard or even on eBay. If you're really into 4 wheeling, you really might consider changing it over from autom to manual hubs and shift.
 
Well just thought i would ask my question here, have 92 with push button we checked fuse under hood new motor on transfer case diferent ele box for the motor or the one here is located behide the driver seat which the red light is coming on but not hereing no clicking like we use to also checked the wires on the dash to that plup and no lights for the buttons, it looks like the way to go is do a swap maybe in the near future, need this truck for hunting here buy next weekend thanks for any and all help.
