What years had the "push blinker/dimmer switch" for the horn? Was it just 84 Rangers?

83, 84, and maybe 85.

Also, some T-birds around those years had it too.

My Aunt Lisa's 84 Escort had that as well.

One of Ford's "What the hell were you thinking" moments

My 82 Merc Capri had it but my 84 & 85 do not. My understanding is it was done getting ready for airbags.

Town Cars had it there too, and no it wasn't for airbags, it's because that's how they did/do it in Europe. Customers hated it so much, Ford went back to putting the button back in the steering wheel.

The old Couriers(pickups), 71-76 ish had that feature as well.

So that's where the horn button was on my b2. That explains why all I got from pounding on the steering wheel was a sore hand.

I get a sore hand when I'm horny too...

Oh, and my Skoda had that feature as well...getting horny, that is...

Thanks guys for all that. Yeah I thought it didn't have a horn at all till my old man was looking under the hood wile I was sitting in the cab and saw the Horn picture on the blinker switch. He was pissed when it went off. :icon_surprised:
