Project Primer! NO 56K

man this is a sweet build your ranger as come a long way from stock an lots of work done to it as well will keep following your v8 swap as well

Are you going full width on it, or are you sticking w the d35?

Well I have yet to really have a major issue with the 35... So I'm sticking with that unless I can find a really good deal on a set of 60's... Not gonna waste my time with a dana 44 unless I get a deal on it if I blow up the 35...

Yes it has and it continues to fight me... but one of these days it will be where I want it... Thanks for the compliments....

Well I am finally going to work on this thing. Hopefully all day saturday and sunday... I plan to get the trans and t-case out of the F150 and hopefully get the engine ready to pull. Ill try to get some pictures but I can never find the time when I am working...

Well after fighting with photobucket for about an hour... Some reason it doesn't like my work computer... Here are some pictures of the weekends progress...

I got the trans and t-case out of the F150. The Transmission crossmember was basically rusted on and I couldn't remove any of the bolts so I had one heck of a time pulling the trans. Had to take the bellhousing and tailshaft housing both of to get it out. No pictures of the work being done (still don't know how people just decide to take pictures well in the middle of doing something... I get in work mode and don't stop till I'm done)

Here is the after math...

Yes the T-case is on the floor of the drivers side of the 150... I had my old manual 1354 sitting next to the ranger and with me not being there the past month it got stolen. I hate the city of Flint. Such a shit hole. So I put it in there for security... and I'm not too worried about the trans since it wieghs a good 300lbs being stolen. Nobody can just walk off with that.

Here is the engine that will soon be in the ranger hopefully

And my buddy is storing something in the bed of the 150 for his ranger... dana 44 out of a late 70's bronco. Maybe he will forget about it and it might just end up under my truck.

And finally just a couple shots of my ranger with the parts truck...

looks good! youve come along way with it. do you still have the headlight covers from the F150? if so id be interested.

I might have them at home but I haven't seen them in a while... I will have to check when I go home next

Keep it up!

I wish I could. Being at work in toledo and having a gf that lives in Indianapolis makes it hard... I am hoping to get back there the first week in november though.

hey bud, i think the last time i seen this build was on GL4x4 lol,, looking great buddy

Finally got some work done on this thing again... Got the 5.0 all ready to pull with the exception of draining the coolant... The exhaust manifolds on the F150 were cracked in half and came out in a couple pieces... And on to some pictures on the progress... Can't see much progress but there was work done I promise...

Wiring Harness out of 150...

Dang that is what I wanted to do to my Ranger "5.0" or "460", but all I could trade for was a 92 Explorer.

Good luck with the swap
