Project Little Green Turd

Having a SD is almost a luxury with the exception of needing it for the ATV and now Nicole and I both have a backup vehicle with room for us, the dogs, and all our shit. I am sure your F350 is about the same way, but you have a trailer and a woods truck to haul around :icon_thumby:

BTW, I am still waiting for the Go-Pro video of you unloading trash off your Acura :icon_cheers:

Yep i understand. My truck is for towing toys, working on the property and familly trips longer than 200 miles. Like you said, it fits the wife, kid, dog, atv, strollers, bikes, luggage and baby toys with ease. My wife is unable to drive it, but I like it that way lol.

I still do need to make that gropro vid. :icon_rofl:

Correction he HAD a woods truck. :thefinger: lol.

HAHA. Easy. In ~2 years I will be able to hang with you.

You may have a point with the wife not being able to drive it. Maybe Nicole caught me in a week moment. I have to say, she was a little surprised when I called her and said I bought a new truck. There was a lot of shock in her tone :D and I get enjoyment out of that... just when she thinks she knows me, I like to throw a curve her way :icon_thumby:

I want that video... make it... maybe you can start a video series and wind up like Nitro Circus or something :icon_cheers:

LMAO, now he has that Jeep thing lol

I am sure you'll get to see it in the near future. If the ESOF gives me problems, I will probably be coming to you for a NV271. And it has a 3.73 gears and an open rear end... I may need to do something about that too. :D Other than that, I am so happy not to bother with rust repair. I will miss my 6 speed though...

Did you every put the Gear Vendors unit in your F350?

Haha I did the same thing. My ESOF didn't want to go into low so I fixed it for good. 271 :headbang: I haven't gotten my GV in yet. Well it was in for about 1/4 mile then I pulled it back out. I feel that I was lied to when I bought the GV unit. Guy claimed it came out of a wrecked truck he bought but he didn't have any driveshaft for it and he gave me multiple switches and stuff for wiring but the other wiring harness parts are missing. I couldn't go over idle or it would slip horribly. He told me that he had a GV in a camaro drag car. I tore my GV apart to see that the sun gear and several other parts are exploded. I believe he broke his GV then switched it out with this one and sold it to me. There is no way that it came out of a wrecked truck unless it was parked and something hit it. Because you cant total a Superduty buy wrecking it at 10mph. So I'm going to have to either rebuild it or find another cheap and use my adapter and stuff from this one. I honestly forget all about it untill I have to move it in the garage. I've been so busy with other projects. I plan to get it put together this winter.

I look forward to it. I need more guys with built trucks that want to wheel with me. I usually scare everyone away LOL

That really sucks. And that sounds like an expensive fix... I guess buying used parts isn't all sunshine and rainbows....

I'd love yo have a built truck for wheeling, but I don't see that anywhere in my near future.... but who knows lol. For now, I just stay in my little 80 hp beater slowly cruising to the tune of 23 mpg and the hum of the Cherry Bomb on a back road :icon_cheers:

I am game! :icon_cheers:
Make sure you bring a spare clutch. :thefinger:

Yea I know. I can't believe that happened. I've broken a lot of stuff but never broke a clutch slowing down. I've broken my fair share with 5000 rpm launches but never anything like that. The only thing I can think of is I was over my tires deep in a creek the week before maybe the material on the clutch couldn't handle getting wet. Its a shame that that was my first break for the year. I have since broken again though. And it too was a weird one that I've never seen happen before.

You 2 are both more than welcome to come ride anytime you like. I'm going out again on Oct 20th to find some new weak links lol.

No problem. I'll be going out again in November.

My wife is doing a girls weekend in Pittsburgh 18-20th. If I can find a sitter, I will hitch a ride with them.

That would be cool. You could meet up at the club and ride with me for the day or if you wanted just meet me at my house and ride up in my truck. I'm between Pittsburgh and Latrobe if she is actually going to be downtown that is. Either way you have my number.

Picked her up yesterday at lunch time. :D I'll miss the silver one and its hand shaker, but I love the blue one! It is a huge improvement. Nick, I can finally understand how your F350 rides "nice." Lol. And Nicole backed over our trash can last night. Apparently, the backup sensors are not going to be all that helpful lol.

Yea I was shocked when I first drove mine how well my crew cab 1 ton rides compared to my old 1 ton.
