Those will be fun trips. I rode quads in the Allegheny forest last week. There was a foot of snow when we got there and nothing but mud when we left a few days later. It was a blast though.

I think Joey and I will be in the garage tomorrow of you are bored. Probably come back one night next week to do some more work.

Yesterday I got the crossmember out and put the new one in place. I need to drill holes or weld it in. I cut off the stock rubber cab mounts under the cab too. Heading back one night this week to paint the tops of the frame brackets so I can bolt the cab back down after the crossmember is in place.

On another note, my girlfriend and I went looking at houses today amd our top pick so far has a 2 car workshop built onto the house and a 1 car garage under the house. It has a 100 amp circuit and at least 20 outlets just for the garage. It is air conditioned and heated and comes with two large work benches and some other odds and ends. I'll post a few pictures of it later on. The house is really nice too. And the best part is that it is under $100k! I really hope it is our top pick and it doesn't sell in the near future. We still have several others to look at in the coming weeks though. Only time will tell if it is the right pick, but at the moment it is looking promising.

I'm working on the truck near the German club is collinsburg and I grew up on Vernon drive by the water tower. I'm currenty living in Ross township though.

Will do on the parts. I get a lot off of 1bad. I've known him since high school.

I know exactly where you live. My buddy's cousin lives a few houses up from the gun shop. He has a whole bunch of Chevys in the yard

So I talked to Dan from www.rangerframefix.com after seeing he updated his website. I emailed him because the cross member I ordered was originally for 93-03 and the site now showed a different model for 93-97 and he called me shortly after that. He explained that the cross member I wanted to get was tank front cross member instead of the tank mid cross member. He told me that he would cover the return shipping, send me the new part when it releases in a few weeks, and refund me the difference. He is really expanding his line of frame repair parts and asked if I mind shipping him some of my old rusty stuff for reference and to compare with his new parts.

I have to say, he is a great guy and truly a pleasure to do business with. If businesses only treated customers like this today. I'd buy parts from him any day. I hope he decides to join the vendor section of the forums in the near future.

So these are the two pictures of the garage in the house we are looking at. The garage comes with everything in it, has A/C, a huge heater, and it is on a separate 100A circuit from the house. And the house only has a 150A...

Excuse my dumb-founded look in the picture... I was unaware it was being taken...

I got back last night and painted the remainder of the frame. Reassembly is in the near future!!!

Still waiting on the new cross member for the frame.

Got back this Saturday for a whopping 3.5 hours. I decided it was a good day to change the clutch. The truck had the factory pressure plate and a LUK friction disc at 197000 miles.

Anyway, took me about to 20 minutes to disassemble. And then I spent the next 3 hours trying to get the pilot bearing out. What a treat. I tried the grease trick about 30 times and did nothing but make a mess. Then I ground a sawzall blade to fit the hole and tried to cut the outer race. Fail... so then I tried grinding the outer race with a die grinder and then thought better of myself. I have no desire to replace the crankshaft if I F--- it up...

So I will get the correct bearing puller and give it another whirl... but damn! What a pain that little thing is!!!
