Project Little Green Turd

Passenger Side Coil Bucket done with oxy-propane

Passenger beam drop bracket comparison. I used oxy-propane to cut off 1 rivet. As a result, I set fire to oil residue on the frame as well as my right pant leg. :icon_rofl: Switched to the cutting wheel and grinder after that.

Factory Radius Arm Bracket vs Duff Tranny Cross Member/Radius arm bracket

Two Rivets and a bolt left on the coil bucket. I have to be much more careful on the drivers side because all of the wiring and fuel/brake lines are on this side.

Also need to get the drives side of the factory tranny cross member off. Those will be on the next trip to work. After that, I am going to wire wheel the frame and get a couple coats of rust-bonding paint on there to add some protection. While I let those harden, I need to get the old axle pivot bushings out of the I-beams and get those cleaned and painted up.

Everything is finally coming together and I am beginning to see the faint light at the end of the tunnel! :icon_cheers:

Look into Chassis saver. That's what I used. It's expensive ($42.00/qt) but it works amazingly well.

A few pages back, I showed pictures of my buddy's Yota. I figured I'd throw a few updates on about it.

He got a truck to donate it's built 350 Chevy, Muncie SM465, and NP205 T-Case to his cause. That Muncie has 6.55:1 granny low gear in it :icon_thumby:

Nice open space for the 350. I think he is going to have a clearance issue with the bell housing on the new powertrain though.

He started that 350 up and it roars. True duals out of 2.5" Cherry Bombs. That is gonna be one mean Yota! :icon_surprised:

I actually have been looking at that. I found after researching Monstaliner for my F250. I was on the fence on whether to drop some cash on it. Did you just apply it or have you had it on for a PA winter?

I've had it on my rear bumper for 2 years now. You can hit it w/ a hammer, tree, another car, etc. and it wont scratch or chip. It fades from gloss to flat black if you dont clear coat it from the sun, but this shit is like brush on powder coat. It's amazing. Do NOT get it on your hands! :D Ask me how I know lol.

I more interested in knowing what it took to get it back off :icon_rofl:

Nice pictures, and that table of James Duff is tits.

Good work. Keep us updated.

James Duff Extended Brake Lines

I called James Duff last week about the extended stainless brake lines they sell with their 6" Stage 3 for Ranger. The guy I talked to said they would sell them separately. They are part # 3239 for $86.75. He said it includes 2 front lines and 1 rear line. After shipping, it will probably be about $50 cheaper than Skyjacker's. I'll be ordering them in the coming weeks. :icon_cheers:

Have you looked into Rough Country lines like I got? It takes some minor rerouting of the lines to the MC and to the calipers but it's a lot cheaper.

$75.00 shipped. Plus $10 for fittings ( a Tee, a MC fitting, and some lines )

I am gonna check on shipping. I have to redo all my hard lines anyway. The fittings seized to the lines so the pretty much fell apart when I had to get the stock soft lines off. O well, I have so many parts off the damn thing, redoing won't take but a few hours. Or at least in my mind they won't :icon_rofl:

F250 Update

The little bit of free time I have had has been spent on getting the F250 ready for inspection. Haven't done more than think about the Ranger recently. Here is what the F250 has had done:

K&N Replacement Filter
Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plugs
Much needed Alignment
New Fuel Filter
Cooper Discoverer AT3 Tires (265/75R16)
Amsoil Synthetic 5W20 Signature Oil (not really an upgrade, but really expensive :thefinger:)
Goodyear Gatorback Belt

I have but not installed yet:
Rancho 9000XL Shocks (Arriving today! :yahoo:)
5 100w Stainless KC Daylighters
Factory 8 Hole Aluminum Wheels (need refinished)

And of course, a little picture whoring:
