Project Life Support.

I keep thinking about how much easier it would be to just BUY another ranger instead.

Then I realize 90% of the stuff I'm doing I'd have to do anyway down the line.

So I stick with it. Anyway, I need to buy a new sending unit. This one is trashed, wont come out of the tank lol. Unfortunately my JY is changing up the price list, so I wont know how much one there will cost for a few days. I'll probably pick it up from them, since I need a few other tank pieces anyway.

The price sheet for my JY is up, now I just have to wait until I can afford my leaf springs as well. The JY I go to is too far to drive just for one thing.

I contacted a member on here about a few parts as well, might go that route instead of the JY. Then I don't have to bother with getting that crossmember out on a JY truck lol.

I also ordered the other spring shackle mount. Got it mad cheap, should be here tomorrow. Then I've just gotta bolt them on and find shackles. I'd like 6400's, but I'm going with whatever I can get cheapest right now.

Hopefully progress will speed up soon. I am on the verge of getting a new job and I am now able to get the bolts I was going to pay around $150 for at my local supplier, for $45 from a different source someone showed me.

As for the job, you know that breakstones cottage cheese you guys probably eat? Yeah, I'll be helping to make that.

The one in Walton? I applied there too, figured I should get a job now that I live up here full time.

If you need help with that ranger let me know! I'm good with body work if you end up wanting to replace that cab corner like we talked about friday.

I heard they're closing the window for new hires soon. Then they're going back with the temp service after so you can still get in with Manpower or whatever it is they use.

I probably wont bother with that cab corner until I get done with the rest of the work. I'm not too concerned with body rust at this point. I'd rather make it drivable.

By the way, I picked up a used set of 33's for rollers, hopefully I'll have them mounted up soon.

They're bald as hell, but I just need something to mock up the tire size and check fitment.

I just read through all 32 pages and am impressed with what you have done to that truck. Hell if if was me I would have said so long to that thing a long time ago, I can't stand rust.

Anyways good job and congrats on getting engaged!!

I have 32 pages? Woah. :D

I don't pay enough attention to this thread. I would have said good riddance, but hey! It's got a sun roof!

Frame is now 100% coated from the cab back, and the rear sway bar has been removed.

Just waiting on money for hardware. I'm buying roughly 50 dollars worth of nuts and bolts.

Next paycheck belongs 100% to the Ranger, so you'll probably see photos of it put back togeather by the middle of september!

It's going to have a "hot-rod" look to it for a while, I had to drop it back down to leveled height in the front because I had someone offer me twice what I paid for my used front lift.

Junkyard day moved ahead one day!

Gonna get drums, the brake cables, tank stuff, hopefully a kick-down cable, and some other goodies!

Maybe they'll have a newer truck there and I can jack some body parts too!

Right now I'm wishing this was finished, looking all sexy with 33" tires, a snorkel, and five inches of lift. I had to do three water crossings in the S10 yesterday just to get to work. If I had the ranger done and on the road it only would have been one big one.

It's flooding up here, crazy stuff.
