Project Life Support.

So my oil pan rusting out, A4LD screwing up, filler neck gasket going bad, bed rust, power steering busting a hole, and radiator getting a hole are all from neglect? I suppose then your accident would be neglect too. No offense intended, but you should be more careful before throwing the "neglect" word around. That's like saying it's my fault NY uses road salt and that ford threw a bunch of crap under the oil pan, or that it's your fault a deer ran out infront of you.

Now now, I'm not trying to start something. I agree, things god bad, and not always from neglect. But it becomes neglect when those things that go bad start to pile up. Your truck, your deal, but if you fixed your pan when it started going bad, then fixed your filler neck when that went bad...ect, then you would only have to worry about one thing at a time.

Anyway, do what you will, that is just my opinion. I just hate to see a fixable truck get sold because there is "too much" wrong with it.

Took the truck on a 200 mile trip this weekend, it did fine. With the exception of the exhaust splitting off and the rear view melting off the windshield.

Hmm.. I went to put it on ramps and since my tires are bald, I spent some time spinning on the grass trying to get up them. When I got out, there was ruts on both sides of my truck.

I'll have to jack up the rear axle sometime and investigate further.

Yes, but unexpected. I was under the assumption that I had a crappy 3.45 open axle. It must have been swapped at some point.

Anyway, I glued the mirror back on with some $4 adhesive from Advance, and wired the exhaust back together. It looks like a flange clamp broke off from the cat, so I'll be buying another one of those when I have time. It's quiet now, so I shouldn't get pulled over.

I'll be able to check one I get my car fixed. My only jackstand and floor jack are under it. I drove over the other jackstand and flattened it.

Well, with 7 vehicles in the family there isn't room for me to park, so my ranger is on the lawn. Of course someone left the jackstands and jack on the lawn, and I backed over them.

I just put both my vehicles up for trade on craigslist. Maybe someone will want them? I need something better on gas, the ranger is only getting about 14 now and the Zx2 only got 24 on a good day. I want around 35.

Took some new craigslist pictures today. Maybe they will help me sell it better than last time I posted it. (last year)

I'll post a thread in the for-sale section when I'm ready to sell.

that sucks man. but u do what u gotta do.

hopefully ull get a Ranger again

When I get a better job I will be either getting back into the Ranger game or I will be buying an F150. Regardless I want to stay Ford, unless a really really REALLY good deal on an xcab stepside silverado comes along.

We had a good run, October 10th 2007 till September 2010. Almost three years.

Finally found someone for it.. he's picking it up tomorrow morning.

The good news is from the research I did on his email (to make sure he wasn't a spam bot) I have concluded that he drives a 2010 or so Mustang and is pretty mechanically inclined. So he can afford to fix her problems.

The bad news is, from what I can tell from his email he's going to use the truck to move a fourwheeler, and then from there the story is fuzzy.. my truck might be going away to be bashed tortured abused and crushed after that like a cheap toy, or it might find it's self a new owner who can fix it up like I always wanted to.

Either way, this concludes the build thread for Project Life Support. If anyone sees a new member on here that is in a truck like my old one.. feel free to point them to this thread, maybe they'll carry it on. Who knows?
